Originally developed in the 1960s by Ed Genetti, the ChurchHill Mall was envisioned as a state-of-the-art shopping destination for the region. At the time of its opening, it quickly became a hub for both commerce and entertainment, featuring a diverse mix of retail stores, a movie theater, and popular dining options that drew visitors from across the Hazleton area.

As consumer needs evolved, the property adapted. Over the decades, ChurchHill transitioned into a mixed-use center, incorporating retail, medical offices, and restaurants while continuing to serve as a cornerstone of the local community.

The Genetti family retained ownership of the property until 2021, when it was acquired by a new ownership group led by Dr. Krish Patel and Attorney John Rodgers. Following the acquisition, the property was reintroduced to the community as ChurchHill Commons. Since that time, the site has undergone a multi-million-dollar renovation focused on revitalization, modernization, and long-term sustainability.

Today, ChurchHill Commons enters a new era. Its owners have carefully preserved the property’s distinctive character while transforming it into a modern mixed-use commercial development featuring discount retailers, high-end specialty stores, medical offices, and restaurants. As the site continues to evolve, ownership remains committed to establishing ChurchHill Commons as a premier mixed-use destination serving the greater Hazleton Area for generations to come.
